Save Your Best Updates

When you notice that some of your social media posts are performing exceptionally well, keep them in a database to use later on. You can either use each platform’s built-in analytics or you can use a third party service such as HubSpot that will organize your posts by popularity and provide you with excellent analytics at a reasonable price. When you’re ready to share them again in a few weeks or months, change each post slightly so that it’s brand new.

Boost Your Posts with Current Events

One of the best strategies for Internet marketing in Akron is to tap into whatever everyone is talking about. Holidays, novelty days (like National Coffee Day) and popular news stories are all great to use in your own posts. Just make sure that whatever you’re piggybacking on is in-line with your brand. If you run a coffee shop, you can certainly share a link and comment on a trending story about the restaurant industry, but you may want to steer clear of commenting on politics.

Don’t Try Too Hard

This may sound like the opposite of what you think is the right move. After all, the more effort your Akron web design company puts into social media in the local area, the more you’ll get out of it, right? Not always. Today’s consumers are used to seeing brands and entrepreneurs on social media. If you use too many hashtags, emoticons or exclamation marks, it could make you seem desperate instead of interesting and informative. Don’t over-post, keep your posts on the short side and only use one or two tasteful hashtags.

Tweet the Same Content Several Times

Studies have shown that follow-up Tweets that promote the same content get over 85% as much attention as the initial Tweet. By the sixth repetition, Tweets still see 67% as much engagement as the first one. The key is to space out the Tweets and vary your posts so that you’re not writing the same exact thing over and over.
